Pip Granger's Fiction
Pip Granger’s fiction is set in Soho in the decades after
World War II. The series is not chronological, but moves backwards
and forwards in time. All of the novels stand alone, but many characters
recur, taking a larger or smaller part in the action. A minor character
introduced in one book may be a narrator in another, and vice versa.
Pip’s novels are published by Bantam (hardback) and Corgi
(paperback) in the UK, and by Poisoned Pen Press (hardback) in the
USA.
Non-fiction
Pip is also the author of two works of non-fiction. The best-seller,
Alone, published in 2007, is the story of her difficult childhood,
and how she not only survived it, but triumphed over it, while Up
West (published August 2009) uses her memories, and those of others
specially interviewed for the book, to evoke the community of ordinary
men and women who lived, worked and played in the West End of London
in the 20 years after World War II.
